# OPTIS Storefront V2 — Faster, Smarter, More Stable

Welcome to the next generation of OPTIS Product Options. Storefront V2 is a complete upgrade to how OPTIS loads and runs on your Shopify store. It's

## Why we're introducing Storefront V2

We've rebuilt the storefront integration to improve performance and compatibility across modern Shopify themes.

With V2, OPTIS becomes lighter, loads only when needed, and provides a stronger foundation for upcoming features.

## What's improved in Storefront V2?

### ⚡ Faster page load performance

Storefront V2 significantly improves how the app loads on your storefront.

Instead of injecting scripts across your entire store, OPTIS now loads only on pages where product options are actually needed.

* Faster storefront loading.
* Reduced unnecessary JavaScript.
* Better Lighthouse performance.
* Less impact on pages like Home, Collection, Blog, Cart, and other non-product pages.

V2 only initializes OPTIS when it's required.

* Product pages load product option logic only when customers visit them.
* Other pages remain lightweight and unaffected.
* Better overall browsing experience for customers.

We've improved compatibility with a wider range of Shopify themes and storefront structures.

V2 is designed to:

* Work more reliably across different Online Store 2.0 themes.
* Reduce storefront conflicts with other apps.
* Improve behavior after Shopify theme updates.

Starting with Storefront V2, all new storefront features will be developed exclusively on V2.

This allows us to ship improvements faster without maintaining two different storefront architectures.

Future features will only be available on V2, including performance enhancements and upcoming storefront capabilities.

Because V2 uses a new storefront architecture, updates can be released with fewer compatibility issues and a more consistent experience across stores.

This also helps us resolve bugs faster and roll out improvements without affecting unrelated storefront pages.

## Why migrate to V2 early?

We're opening Early Access before V2 becomes the default storefront version.

Early Access merchants receive additional support during migration to ensure everything works correctly.

## ⚠️ Important for stores with previous custom support

If you've previously contacted OPTIS Support for:

* theme customization,
* storefront code changes,
* custom integration,
* custom CSS or JavaScript,
* or any manual storefront fixes,

please contact our Support team before switching to Storefront V2.

We'll migrate those customizations to the new storefront architecture and verify everything is working correctly.

This helps prevent custom storefront implementations from being lost or behaving differently after migration.

## How migration works

The migration is straightforward:

1. Join the Storefront V2 Early Access waitlist (see below).
2. When Storefront V2 is officially released, we'll email Early Access merchants first with migration availability and instructions.
3. Reach out to our Support team after receiving the email so we can prioritize your migration.
4. Our team will migrate your store to Storefront V2.
5. We'll verify that everything is working correctly on your storefront and help resolve any theme-specific issues if needed.

Most stores can migrate with little or no storefront changes.

You can join the Early Access waitlist directly in the app:

1. Open the **Dashboard** and find the **OPTIS Storefront V2** banner (marked **Coming soon**).
2. Click **Join waitlist**.
3. Check the email address. It is prefilled from your store owner account, so update it if needed.
4. Optionally tick **Prioritize migration support for my store**.
5. Click **Notify me**. You will see **You're on the waitlist!**
