Make the option required before adding to cart

This feature ensures that customers must select an option before they can add the product to their cart.

Steps:

1. In the Option set edit page, locate the element you want to make mandatory.

2. Under the Option label, find and enable the "Required field" checkbox.

3. Click Save to apply the changes.

Result:

• Required options will display a red asterisk (*) next to the option name on the storefront.

• If a customer clicks Add to cart without making a selection, a warning message will appear to prompt them.

Customize the look and the message

• The color of the asterisk is set in Settings > Design Settings > Color > Required character.

• The warning text (default: "Option {{Option name}} is required") can be changed in Settings > Translation Texts > Default text customization > Product page.

• In Settings > General Settings > Widget setting, turn on Scroll to first message error to scroll customers to the first missing option when they click Add to cart.
